ScaleUp participates in the 29th round of the \u00d6KOPROFIT program. On August 24, the kick-off event \u00d6koprofit Hamburg 2020\/21 took place at the Ministry for Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture, BUKEA for short. <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Under strict Corona conditions, the kick-off for the ECOPROFIT program 2020\/21 Hamburg took place on Monday. The participating companies commit themselves to developing their own environmental standards and would like to achieve certification for these. In addition to ScaleUp, 10 other motivated companies are taking part in the 29th \u00d6KOPROFIT round. The secret of the list of participants was only revealed on site. This year it is again a colorful round of medium-sized and cooperative businesses, including education, logistics, trade, facility management and agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

Background<\/h3>\n

In the area of hosting, there is enormous potential for energy savings that can help achieve the goals for the energy transition 2030. ScaleUp would like to contribute to this and therefore participates in the \u00d6KOPROFIT program Hamburg 2020\/21.<\/span><\/p>\n

ECOPROFIT is a project of the \"UmweltPartnerschaft Hamburg<\/a>\". In Germany alone, ECOPROFIT has already been implemented in over 100 municipalities with more than 4,000 companies. This means that the program has overtaken EMAS in terms of environmental management systems and, after ISO 14001, is the most successful model in terms of numbers for introducing corporate environmental management approaches.<\/p>\n

At a total of 10 workshop dates, plus additional on-site dates at their own company, participants are prepared for the introduction of an environmental management system and can obtain certification at the end of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n

ScaleUp operates state-of-the-art colocation and housing space as well as cloud infrastructure at a total of 6 data center locations in Hamburg, Berlin and D\u00fcsseldorf. These spaces have an electricity consumption of about 1,000 four-person households and are currently operated with 100 percent green power in certified data centers.
